Remote access

Allows you to call into the systems and then make calls out. Used for making international calls from your cell phone and it can show your cell phone caller Id or company caller Id.

 

Remote access allows you to call into the system then make calls out. This takes one of two forms:

· A number that you call, and a menu then asks you for a number to call. This is the most common use for remote access.

· The system calls you back. You dial the remote access number from the number specified, and hang up once you hear it ring. The system will then call you at the number specified. Once you answer, you are asked for a number to call.

How to add a new remote access account

  1. Log in to the Mypbxadmin.com web interface.
  2. Go to Features » Remote access.
  3. Click the "New" button.
  4. Enter the following:
    o A name for the account.
    o Optionally a description.
    o Whether to play the menu, call back, or place the call directly.
    o Optionally a person who owns the account.
    o The class of service if you have any.
    o The caller id to send on outbound calls.
    o The method of authorizing calls to be placed. ( it is most common to set the caller Id of the person’s cell phone ) – you can then leave Account number, PIN blank and it will authorize calls based on the inbound caller id.
  5. Click the "Save" button.
