Page groups

Allow more than one IP Phone to be paged at once. All IP Phones that answer are put into a conference, and people can speak just like an intercom.

To add a new page group

  1. Log in to the Mypbxadmin.com web interface.
  2. Go to Features » Page groups.
  3. Click the "New" button.
  4. Edit the following settings:
    o A name for the page group.
    o Optionally a description.
    o Whether to ask IP Phones to auto-answer. Please note that only Polycom IP phones this.
    o Whether to play a beep to the caller when the caller is placed in the conference.
    o Whether people that are being paged can talk. If set to yes, everyone in the conference may hear them.
  5. Click the "Save" button.
  6. Click the "Add a destination" link to add the IP Phones you wish to be included in this Page group.
  7. Choose the IP Phones
  8. Click the "Save" button.
  9. Repeat for other IP Phones you wish to add to this page group.
